It started with a starter
I'm Madeline, a home baker in Brentwood, Tennessee. Someone handed me a sourdough starter one day, but I had no idea what to do with it. I just didn't want to kill it, so here we are.
One loaf turned into many, and plain loaves turned into intricate designs: leaves, butterflies, messages... Before I knew it, each loaf had a name and a birth certificate.
I thought, since I have so much freedom in designing these loaves, why not open that option to others? Some chatting with Claude Code and bam, MadelMade is live.

Frequently asked questions
Anything else? Email [email protected] or message @madelmadewithlove on Instagram.
How much notice do you need?
About 3 days for most loaves. Need it sooner? Priority gets it ready in 1 day for an extra $5, when there's room.
Where do I pick up?
Pickup is in the Brentwood / Nolensville, TN area. You'll get the exact address once your order is approved.
How many loaves can you bake?
I bake up to 3 loaves at a time across all orders. When lots of orders come in for the same days, I may ask to move your order to a later date before I approve it. If the new date doesn't work for you, you can cancel at no cost.
Can you ship my bread?
I can only ship within Tennessee. Tennessee's home food law covers sales inside the state, and shipping out of state would need a commercial kitchen license. Bread ships best Monday to Wednesday so it never sits in a warehouse over the weekend. I quote the shipping cost when I approve your order.
Can I get a refund?
Orders can be cancelled for free until I approve them. Once your loaf is in progress, it's made just for you, so payments can't be refunded. If you need a different day, message me and I'll do my best to move it. If I ever have to cancel, you'll get a full refund. If a shipped package arrives damaged, send me a photo and I'll make it right.
Can you turn down an order?
Madeline has the right to decline any order, for any reason. If she can't take yours, she'll let you know, and you won't be charged anything.
Do you deliver?
Yes, within reason. I'll quote the delivery fee when the order is approved, and it's paid up front as a deposit. Feel free to set the address to an in-between location. Due to regulations, lattes cannot be delivered.
How do I pay?
Nothing is charged online. You pay at pickup or delivery with cash, Venmo or Zelle.
What about allergens?
Every loaf contains wheat. Specific ingredients are listed on each product page. Contact me if you have any questions or requests!
Is sourdough gluten-free?
Sourdough is not gluten-free, though it is naturally low in gluten due to the long fermentation phase. There are such things as gluten-free sourdough starters, but I don't keep one, sorry.
How should I store sourdough?
If you will consume it within a few days, leave it on the counter in a bread bag or paper bag. To enjoy it later, slice and freeze it!
Best way to reheat?
Toast and butter her up!
